I'm not sure if I can help, but the 1984 score from the Eurythmics might be up your alley if you're looking for dystopian music in a more literal sense. Some of the chord progressions seem to have that melancholic Boards of Canada sound to them. Incidentally, you might also like Tomorrow's Harvest, as that has a post-apocalyptic theme to it inspired by sci-fi movie soundtracks from the late '70s and '80s (although I can't say I'm a fan of most of it compared to their older stuff).
