I went from loving it in my teens to hating it in my 20s and I haven't really revisited it since.

They had some strenghts and when they played them right, a good song came out, like the one I embedded. They were huge to me for exactly one summer and then never again.

sublime is garbage and the only reason to listen to them is if you're a dudebro from the 90s at a college party

Not a fan of the band, really, but I do acknowledge that Bradley Nowell was most certainly a musically talented guitarist and vocalist and perhaps could have put together an interesting solo career outside of Sublime's genre constraints???

they were big in my high school. then again my high school was full of wops and then I went to trade school and suddenly they were the proto-scene kids' favorite band. them and No Doubt and Save Ferris. I fucking hate ska. dub and 70s reggae is ok but ska can jump off a cliff.

the fucked up thing is I love Bad Brains who inspired them. leave the genre to blacks. white folks have zero business playing that shit unless its first wave shit like the Specials and Madness. the trope got old after that.
