Sometimes we associate songs with emotions or experiences. This can be because it was playing in the background of a certain memory, or because it evokes the same feeling with its sound. I would like anons to post music and describe where these songs take them, while possibly sharing how it relates to their individual experience. It doesn't necessarily have to be real or something you lived through yourself. In fact if it just gives you an inspiration of what you would imagine the experience to feel like you can post that too.

Stevie Nicks' hello in this song always gets me, along with the warm synth of the intro and the twinkling notes on the keyboard. It makes me nostalgic for all the times I've ever looked at a girl and wanted nothing more than just to talk to her so we could start the rest of our lives together. The song begins with that enchanting moment you first lay eyes on her.

Forgive me for waxing poetic I've just had a bit to drink and I'm thinking about shit like this.

never ever ;_;

This always makes me think about my first love which I did nothing about because I'm a pussy. I loved The Cure when I was 13. Still think it's a great band.

I was basically obsessed with Boards of Canada in high school. I even went through a phase where I listened to Geogaddi two or three times a day in its entirety. Whenever I listen to them it pulls up some kind of emotion or memory from those times. The friends and acquaintances I drifted from, how much of an angsty ass I was, the tumultuous relationship with my girlfriend to whom I almost lost my copy of Geogaddi to as a cheer-up gift.

This one reminds me of waking up early to watch VH1 and play The Sims 2.

I used to listen to this album a lot during middle school. I was also grounded equally as much for being an asshole. My father had a funny way of doing it. He'd lock me out of the trailer and force me to sit under a mesquite tree in the yard. It was hot. There were ants.

I had a gf who really liked this song when I was in HS. One of the things we had in common was browsing imageboards. I don't know if she still comes here. All of those weird autismo hobby/craft boards you wonder who the fuck goes to? She liked those.

this one always reminds me of World Of Warcraft around early 2007, when I was playing through Nagrand for the first time. that zone is inspired by Africa so it was a perfect storm.

it was a good time. I was in high school so I had almost no responsibilites, just playing WoW or hanging out with friends all the time. however, the actual feeling the song now gives me is very bittersweet because WoW has not been good in such a long time and I've lost most of my friends

>Pantera - Cemetery Gates

I moved from my comfy small town to Cincinnati because my parents needed to find new jobs and this was the song I listened to the most going back and forth to get our shit from the our old home to the new one, it was more of the environment than the song I liked.

>Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang

>Elsiane - Prozaic

I listened to these two when I was in high school before getting expelled.

>Neil Young - My My Hey Hey

>Swans - Stay Here

>Pixies - Wave of Mutilation (U.K. Surf)

>Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger

I got a job in a factory because I wanted to stop being a complacent NEET shit but I got put in an area that had me huffing paint so I quit after 20 hours but it was a good experience that still sticks with me.

Good idea for thread.

This song and a lot of older dubstep reminds me of around 2009-2010 when my life was starting to look up (if only temporarily before things came crashing down). I was both working and going to school (not doing either right now). My parents had finally got to where they made enough money to move into a big house in a real nice neighborhood. So working full time I had enough money to pay my own car note as well as have lots of spending cash and I would spend it all on craft beers. I had started to date a female friend I knew for years. It was probably me at my most stable. The drinking ended up getting out of control and when the girl broke up with me it just exacerbated the situation.

But really when I hear the song I just kind of think about driving with the windows down, drinking beer, smoking weed, laying by the pool.

Social Distortions cover of Ring of Fire will always bring me back to the 4th of July 1999, we had a big stereo in the living room and my sister was blaring that song on max volume while I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the big CRT we had, this was right before we left for the beach that day to watch the fireworks on the sand. Something about that game, that song, the smell of sunblock, all of us piling into the van, I miss those days.

Nostalgia for something I never even experienced. Personally I love songs like this one because of this particular feeling.

I had 5 other siblings growing up so there was little room for privacy (I didn't even have my first fap until I was 20 and I got my own room.) She was kind of a normalfaggot anyways and we were 10 years apart in age. I miss growing up in that chaos sometimes, I feel bad for only-children.

My dad had a lot of vhs recordings of Monkees reruns from the 80s that I used to spend a lot of time watching. I remember one containing the video for Prince's "Kiss" in between episodes and being confused by it. I also had the Monkees pc game which had the main riff from the song isolated and on loop for the main menu, so it stands out in my memories.

I'm sorry to derail, but surely I can't be the only person who sees a stylized angry female face in the middle "tear" of that album cover, can I? Can't find any source that talks about it, and there's so many "details" such as the "ear" and "mole" that I'm almost certain it's deliberate.
