They're also doing a new tour.

The release is June 22nd, from an interview with Trent it seems like this release might be different from the previous two.

Here's the tracklisting.

1. Shit Mirror

2. Ahead of Ourselves

3. Play the Goddamned Part

4. God Break Down the Door

5. I'm Not from This World

6. Over and Out

At least the artwork is better than Add Violence, but with a track listing that small and with titles like that I think it's setting itself up to be The Downward Spiral 2 or something like that.

With the title I was expecting it to be a classic hardcore industrial rock song.

Sounds like David Bowie's experimental music. It's interesting, nice to hear Trent singing normally.

>longer than the previous EP by literally a single 3 minute song

>"hurr our creative process made the planned EP evolve into an actual full-fledged FULL LENGTH ALBUM, trust me, now get hyped and make sure you preorder live show tickets"

where would Trent be if he wasn't a genious businessman

Yeah, kinda BS isn't it? I do know of albums that are 30 minutes long but this thing only has six songs for Christ's sake.

Don't forget that the last seven minutes of Add Violence consisted of literally a ten second portion on loop the entire time (for the record, the effect that was going for is ultimately lost if you listen to it digitally). When the track listing for Bad Witch was revealed to be that small I was expecting longer and more grandiose tracks as some kind of proper closer to this "trilogy".

Funny how with the Fragile he insisted on releasing it as a double album with a shitton of tracks, most of which was mediocre and forgettable filler (first CD starts off great, then loses focus and drops in quality except for the last track, and the second CD is mostly just meh, with "Starfuckers, Inc." not fitting any sort of "narrative" you might desperately be looking for there). That also hurt the album's commercial success because, apart from NIN having gotten somewhat stale and old in the mainstream eye after TDS, the overly long and unfocused double album was just too much to swallow for many who might have been more interested in it. Oh well, the lyrics "all the pieces don't fit but I didn't really give a shit" sum it up well I guess. Now he seems to have taken a different approach, making minimal-length releases and using tricks to actually (like the loop you mentioned) or apparently (like marketing the new record as an LP) inflate them.

 No.93304

Should he ever make a soundtrack for a Carmack game again, it could be a remix of this album named ".WAD Bitch".

 No.93305

>>92985

He can't make another TDS or Fragile, just like Tool can't make another Aenima or Lateralus, Manson can't make another AS or MA, and Prodigy can't make another Jilted or TFOTL. Artists way long beyond their creative peak are just that, and nothing is going to change it.
