ITT: albums/artists that never get as much credit as they deserve for how influential they were.

Dazzling Killmen may as well have been the first mathcore band, but it doesn't seem like they were ever well known or whatever. The Dillinger Escape Plan said they were an influence too.

I don't know if I'd call Devo under appreciated necessarily, but sometimes I feel like they're generally pegged as a novelty act from the 80s because of "Whip It" despite how innovative they were in the birth of new wave, industrial, and alt rock in the 70s. Q: Are We Not Men A: We Are Devo is one of the biggest influences on me as an artist and I find their cover of Satisfaction to be one of the greatest covers of all time.

How the FUCK has The Pleasure Principle never received the credit it deserves? The effect it had on so many genres, from hip-hop to house, was immense, yet it's almost never brought up.

Even when it's been sampled it's never given credit, I don't understand. That famous Basement Jaxx song "Where's Your Head At?" sampled not one, but TWO songs from this album and almost nobody knows that.

I own original pressings of all of Gary Numan's albums on vinyl, through 1986, including Tubeway Army. He's one of my favorite artist's of all time. It's strange that he gets nearly zero credit for his influence.
