John Maus' new album came out a few days ago, have any of you heard it? If so, what do you think?

I like it.

The Touchdown is surprisingly good for a song about football, but I really don't know why Maus went with Teenage Witch as one of the album's singles when other songs like Walls of Silence and Pets are so much better.

The album has a surprising amount of catchy tunes for a John Maus album, I love the guitar riff on Find Out.

I'd probably give it a 7/10 overall, not as good as We Must Be.. but I'd still consider it one of his standout works.

Ariel Pink but if he stayed in a deadpan baritone while philosophizing about whatever the fuck university philosophy professors talk about and then smeared his vocals in reverb and echo effects all while while completely forgetting to write any memorable hooks. Pretention cranked up to 7.
