This artist is pretty fucking good. They seem like they make really consistent stuff, but unfortunately not a lot of releases so I'm hoping for more. They're not very popular, only on soundcloud/bandcamp afaik

Shameless plug for an "album" I put out months ago. Silly themes like Kirby, Nintendo, and waifus.

Not bad. I really liked the first song, Scanline Miami and Penny. Penny was perfect up until that god awful fucking vocal sample at the end. That sharp shift in volume and tone is obnoxious as fuck.
Less heavy on the vocal samples, crank up those ambient synths that put the vapor in vaporwave, and dont be afraid to experiment with the base beat/melody. You seem to understand the fundamentals of what makes vaporwave vapor-sounding, so 6.5-7/10

A whole shoot ton of vaporwave. Last updated 2015. Feel free to point out the good from the bad.
Outside of that I really like Sea of Dogs.

Guys what software should I download if I want to make vaporwave/remixes? I really want to sample and tune down a lot of stuff, add bass etc. I'm still a beginner but I've got tons of inspiration.

Haven't used it in ages but I'm pretty sure you can do everything you'd need to in audacity with a couple free vst synths and saturation plug ins. Most vaporwave is straight samples and maybe a synth bass added. Don't need much to make it. Airwindows is a pluggin developer who started releasing all his stuff for free recently. He's got a lot of saturation, tape, etc. kind of plugins available.

If you want to pirate something just get Ableton though. Or Bitwig maybe. Any DAW will do it really.

You can make very basic vaporwave for your own enjoyment in audacity and just slow any song down by 25%.
If you want to "produce" it to release then you need to use a DAW like FL or Ableton and learn how to use EQ's, filters and reverb and cut up samples.

Vaporwave is a high skill ceiling art form and in no way are 0 listen tracks indistinguishable from million listen tracks.

It was an outcry from poseurs and other tryhards who
>pretended to enjoy commercials and ambience out of memes
>fags who think an anime gif looping for 3 minutes to a remixed 80s song is vaporwave
>people who miss the point of vaporwave and that it's not entirely an musical endeavor
With these arbitrary non-issues the controversy faded away.

neat little ambient release, label wants more IDM-influenced stuff though
Also, wasn't there some small release from a few months back that was themed around GTA San Andreas? I know that it had a little buzz back when it was released, but I can't remember the name and didn't bookmark the page for it.

They've both got great album choices, so I guess I'll say I prefer Vaporwave 2017 Super Guide because it looks a bit better. The second one is a bit weird because it wasn't made by a fan, but an actual vaporwave producer, but his music's pretty good so I'll let it slide.
Zone Eater vs Sea of Dogs is really out there, but by god is it good. Definitely a must listen.

He's not a libtard, I was calling you a libtard for bringing gender shenanigans into the thread.
For the record most of the vaporwave producers and listeners are either centrist or right-leaning, there are inevitably some left-leaning ones pretty whacky ones too but they're mostly on the sidelines.

This is the best vaporwave song I have heard so far and I have it on my phone so that I can listen to it in loop on car rides to help me relax.
