Better than nothing. Maybe people will someday return to the ceremonial monarch for answers, or a ceremonial monarch will provide them. I always count on a traditional role, even ceremonial monarch, to provide an opportunity for the best.

I don't like to recognize most monarchies as ceremonial. If they are deliberately so, then yes. The ceremonial status is another republican trick. Yes, they don't use their power very often. They still should reserve their power as head of state and not let that status be swapped. – Even if it is the reality. Best not to lose all cards on deck.
