A monarchy should be with an ethnic state. I don't see why they should be separate. The only tension is historical, but a monarchy and a nation are two of a kind.

Foolish. Citizenship is very insincere and no matter where you are, you will always be you. A people as we know them are drawn through their history and heritage. That includes the pagan and Christian histories. That includes every trauma and every victory. Every rise and fall accounts to the names of a people and it synchronizes when they have a sovereignty. A sovereignty and a people belong together.

There are no promises here. But globalism and civic nationalism would be bound to fail, whereas a monarchy has a stable tradition in both the pagan and Christian world. It survives generations and ideas.

Race is a long line of ancestry as far as I'm concerned. A monarchy resembles this through that conventional wisdom called tradition. There are races, heritages, and nations. Their name is their culture and their blood is their ancestry, both name and blood matter.

Nationalism alone depends on ideals and civics. It is necessary to have a monarchy to become a proud nation, otherwise they are left with minimal bones and no flesh; no blood, but tons of water. A monarchy suits nationalism more than nationalists would like to admit. It brings a name and a blood to their leadership instead of water and partisanship, it carries divinity and pride for the whole rather than the sum.

ie i might be 70% made up of genes from an original ethnic group and 30% from a group that arrived later.

other people might have the reverse ratio or genes from a third group.

it becomes difficult to point to any original group and say 'we are them'- for example, a scot might take a dna test and find out (however unlikely it is) he's entirely descended from norse invaders

Well, that is how name and blood consist through a sovereignty and the reverse. But ideally a cultural group sticks with their culture.Otherwise, the diversity of groups will bring conflicts, plain and simple. That's what you get. They are we're all just human, but what does it mean to be a human? It means a lot, good and bad.

Oh well. At the end of the day, it comes to their honor. Their ancestor seeks an achievement, and the generations follow. This is how the name of "Norse" and "Scotsman" come about. These are names of loyalty, generations who follow the wisdom of the past. Most disregard this aspect of a people and it is unfortunate.
