There are no two words I hate more than "The People".
Those who claim to act on behalf of "The People" are imposters, frauds, and cheats who are dishonest themselves. "The People" don't have sovereignty over themselves. Sovereignty is above "The People". An authority always acts upon "The People". Mass politics and democracy has done everything to isolate the People from who they really are. It has converted "The People" into any breed of ideological toy, that being conservative, republican, democratic socialist, anarchist, communist, anarcho-socialist, anarcho-capitalist, communist, green partisan, or whatever partisanship they belong to -- anything but "The People". This political game does everything in its power to separate ordinary people from being people. It wants to makeshift them into anything but people. It wants them to become ideological charlatans and foolish partisans. All democracy really is – from what I see – a soft brand of totalitarianism that seeks to aspire to becoming the total whim of "The People" who act on behalf of "The People" and trust the authority of "The People" and believe wholeheartedly that one answer comes out of MANY PEOPLE.
I would rather accept an authoritarian government than a regime of "The People". At least the authoritarian government is honest and we will know WHO is responsible for what other than "The People" and know that true sovereignty has a sovereign in some form or another and that all actions come to a singular result and a single answer and an isolated group that is even a majority will never wholeheartedly accept responsibility for that single answer and accept the consequences for it because they'll immediately blame each other for the consequences. True sovereignty comes down to a person rather than the people.
When they consider "The People" they will never think of children, criminals, autists, reactionaries, radicals, or the careless. Their liberty is a lie and their freedom is false; true liberty is liberty from other people. The name "The People" has unlocked a dystopian world of mass politics and mindless antics.
