I don't understand why people are so harsh on the new content like GhostSuckers and The Great War when Sam's been doing similar projects for ages (Dr. Manslave and Smocaine come to mind, but there are many more examples).

Those older projects had actual talent and chemistry, where you had Nick/Charls/Ruse/etc creatively involved, and it showed.

lmao yeah the current stuff relates in no way to the older mde content. and tgw's not even the worst, i did have a couple chuckles and there are some quotable lines. and sure, mde still has the same stupid (in a good way) ironic humor, but man did they only keep the golden moments in older stuff.

plus smocaine 3 and doctor manslave were the longest things they produced back then. and how long were those? nowhere near the length of whats being made now.

anyways, the current content is filler and wayyyy too bloated, but still has a couple goodies. but its a chore digging through the new skits to find those.

Okay, yeah, having Nick and Charls around was obviously a bonus and I always enjoyed their presence, and the work with Andrew Ruse (Officer Maggot and Moms come to mind) are some of my favorite things that he's been involved in.

Not everything in the old era of MDE was gold. I've recently been going through the whole back catalogue and really it's always been hit or miss. Happy World Daddy had great moments with the comedy, graphic design and music just like the old shit.

I don't really understand the oft repeated sentiment here that just because some of the old crew are gone and not everything he produces are zingers that he should just give it all up entirely. With the past 6 months I attributed that to the whole corona thing and not being able to get out as much, but when I think more about it I don't really know… When was GhostSuckers even shot would anyone know? Random thought but since Sam is now friendly with Weckingball and Weckingball has been contributing to Sam's sketches I also think that in Sam's videos he should feature a lot more of Weckingball skating.

Just think about it. The editing style and music of a lot of Sam's videos would fit perfectly for that kind of 90s/2000s era skate tape/mix tape kind of thing.
