Why did the """MDE STYLE""" become as overused as OneyNG injokes and twitter memes?
-every MDE styled comedy channel has "world" at the end of it; sadworld, tortureworld, charlesworld
-all use the 4chan/twitter humor and "Y2K style" limitations way too much
-are no better than the hipsters MDE used to make fun of in 2012, calling themselves "independent indie artists" and wear hipster clothing

you know Sam is running somekind of cult if he managed to falsely convince his fans that all the content he produced was truly original and groundbreaking

Its because Sam now has interns and employees who do the grunt work. He has a established style no successful creator changes their style unless they want ruin their own platform. Have you seen Seth Macfarlane or any popular show change their style completely.

Bullshit Tim and Eric actually completely ripped off these mtv short shows that aired at like 3am in the morning. The collage style has been around since the 40s. Sam made a more original style and show.

when MDE started (2007) that stuff was legitimately mainstream culture. now it's "vaporwave nostalgia" or something. remember the "jackassworld" production slides after episodes of wildboys?

I'm going to have to disagree. Family Guy and other shows are TERRIBLE now because they never change their style or aesthetic. Change isn't always a bad thing. It's HOW you change that matters.

Personally, I have no issue with the "y2k" style. I grew up with it, numerous artists and channels unrelated to MDE used/use it still. I'm engrossed in it, and if anyone has a bone to pick with me or anyone else just because we appreciate a certain style and perpetuate it amongst ourselves, like this faggot >>30633 they can fuck off.

The "tim and eric style" was a style of comedy used by tons of hipsters that made furry web comics and netzines long before they even made Tom Goes To The Mayor

I wish this was a joke lol
Sam posted a clip from a sketch show on Netflix (I Think You Should Leave by Tim Robinson) that said "Hey, you just poked my wife in the eyes!" and people legitimately thought it was taken from the Nick Wine Party Sketch.
I loved MDE but CHRIST it's fan-base is irritating.
