His whole persona is a fake act. I think if you buy into it you are on a similar level of fretful self-doubt, wondering if you have the capacity for rage that Sam has. Not sure there's much value to derive from being around people who'd get profoundly involved with a community that they very well know is getting memoryholed by their platform of choice with no forewarning or recourse should said community ever begin to look like it even just might eventually pose something like a threat to globohomo. I genuinely believe that you're more likely to meet sane, like-minded people on virtual pew pews than on the periphery of Snoo's butthole.

That said, I think looking for a community of like-minded people is the real mistake, here. MPC has devolved into a senseless circlejerk (and wants :10bux: if you didn't already have an account?), other forums are similar or worse, Reddit/Twitter/Facebook/etc communities were exploded or will be, clones like Voat/Gab/etc tend to attract weirdos, anonymous avenues prevent most social-rhetorical shortcuts from being use, ephemeral avenues make referring to older content painful/impossible and there's very little left that's specifically "dissident" which doesn't conform to one or more of the categories I specified. There's a few IRC chatrooms, I guess. Point is, none of the long-lasting, hard-hitting, big-dicked circles I'm in (and want to be in) come from overtly "dissident" groups. They're all from general avenues and we happened to congregate around common interests. The downside is that it takes time to develop those microcosms and/or personal bonds.
