What's up /loomis/.

So I've been reading up on anatomy and shit and I still have a lot of trouble drawing musculature. I know the muscles but my anatomy books mostly show people standing up with their arms at their sides. Are there any references that show how the muscles change in different poses? I struggle with backs and sides in particular.

Not for the most part from what I've seen. For people actually posing and stuff that's where it's on you to look at tons of photographs, draw and observe the phenomenon of these changes themselves. Stan Prokopenko if I recall correctly has a lot of detailed lectures on the origin and insertion points of different muscles. His content is definitely a worthy investment.

You need to simplify the muscles into simple shapes and construct them. Read Michael Hamptons Figure Drawing Invention to get an idea.
