I'm in a similar place OP, while I'll always love freedom the political movement is just a means to a better life. I still like economics though, I'd like to spend my life doing analysis or consulting for a while, and then "retire" either to getting a graduate degree in Econ and working with the Mises Institute, or taking up gunsmithing. I'd very much like to find a wife somewhere along the way as well.
