Electric cars are more polluting than fossil fuel counterparts to produce, and only have a net positive impact after years of sustained use. Marketed as a luxury item, you can bet most Teslas will never make that threshold in their lifetimes. His tubetrains and space program are an ill equipped delusional fantasy, a giant sinkhole for resources that would be better put to use elsewhere.
