Is this a victory for /liberty/?

Kinda looks like it but why is this guy so fixated on beer?

I dunno his brother was a crack addict so I guess they're all addicted to drugs in one from or another.

Because beer is tasty and it's a nice issue to rally support for. You ask your average citizen if he wants to abolish the fed and reinstate the gold standard, he won't understand what you're talking about. You ask him if he wants cheap booze, he'll say yes.

1. Rob was a crack addict.

2. His widow is likely one too.

3. His nephew is a Toronto city councillor, and the father of that nephew is in prison for attempted murder.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ford_(politician)

4. Doug is likely clean—the Toronto Star said he's a vegetarian—he worked in a slaughterhouse decades ago. His daughter is also a vegetarian, told women they could avoid rape if they don't dress like sluts, and was in the lingerie football league. Doug is reputed to have dealt hash on the side decades ago. I figure some of his customers voted for him.

His opponents were a bit lackluster. We've had Liberal Party rule for about 15 years—it was time for a change. The NDP was better, but apparently not much more. Also, there seems to be a tradition here in Ontario that of the Liberals and Conservatives (or "Progressive Conservatives" provincially), when one party has Parliament Hill (federal) the other has Queens Park (provincial). This has been the case for about 44 of the past 55 years years.

Ditto Liberals/Democrats and PC/Conservatives/Republicans in Parliament Hill and the White House, for 24 of the past 55 years. Conservative Harper lost to Liberal Trudeau in October 2015. Almost 12 months later, Clinton lost to Trump.

I figure Trudeau will win in 2019, and Trump, or some other Republican, will win in 2020. Thanks to Trump's tariffs, even the Tories are supporting Trudeau (Harper, Mulroney, the current opposition leader, and Doug).

His daddy was re-elected few times; and unless the Tory leader is as anti-Trump as Trudeau's Liberals are, he'll be accused of being a kiss-ass to Trump—much like the GOP caucus.
