Why would anyone convert Ayn Rand novels into movies? They're bland and shit. Why is /pol/ obsessed with attaching Ayn Rand to libertarianism when the link between libertarianism and objectivism is cold, unwanted, and cruelly calculated as a means of "big tent" efforts at best? They're mostly (((zionists))) and (((cultural marxists))) who got into high positions within the industry through nepotism. Film was a new industry in the 20s, and was one of the few industries where jews could get jobs. They became rich and lobbied the government to subsidize Hollywood in exchange for pushing propaganda to keep the industry centralized.

The first Atlas Shrugged movie was alright, actually. More streamlined than the novel, and livelier. The characters even seemed like actual, living people.

The downside was that they took out what few memorable moments the novel had, or they made them extremely boring. D'Avenconi, or what his name was, destroying a copper mine by adopting socialist policies, and so on. In the movie, none of it was shown, we only had a blandly acted dialogue between him and Dagny.

The only really interesting part is the very end of the novel when everything goes to shit. Kinda funny how the main characters go to live in a hardcore version of "AnCapistan", yet Rand would freak the fuck out if you ever point that out.
