I think there was some tampering with the evidence by two corrupt federal agents who are now in prison. That and there is some speculation on whether or not Ulbricht was the only person to use the Dread Pirate Roberts pseudonym the whole time. There's videos where his mother elaborates on it.

Smells fishy to me. If you got evidence of murder you usually pile that one with every other charge. They do it with mobsters all the time, and some of those murders are hard to pin since they happen way down the line.

Yes, captain strawman, and they're being punished by getting imprisoned. How harsh that punishment is is supposedly determined by the length of the sentence, however, not by the facility it's executed in. You not only make proportionate punishment a sham, but you also contradict yourself when you sneak in a harsher punishment by calling it a security measure and then justify this security measure by its punitive nature.

I think they are getting closer to the getting this before the supreme court. They should be targeting the murder charge angle since that is what gave him the time, ever though he wasn't convicted.
