Tankies are worth in theory. Neocons are bad too but they pay lipservice to morality, freedom and tradition, and after all, hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue. In practice, Neocons are a bigger threat right now, at least in the US.

They are both heavy authoritarians, at least when it comes to the military-industrial complex, which is what gives the state its monopoly after all. The neocons at least want a little less constraint upon the market than the tankies. However, left without any checks, the neocons would quickly turn tankie without realizing it.

Agreed currently Neocons are worse due to their power but there is one thing I find disgusting about tankies is that they say more people should have died in Holodomor and in the gulags. I've never heard Holocaust deniers go that far.

Neocons are the greater immediate threat, due to their control of governments. However, their voter base has waned in the past few years or so, due to a combination of the resurgence of other ideologies and deaths from old age. Barring some serious electoral fuckery, they'll likely be mostly gone from government within the next 30 or so years.

And that's where tankies become a longer-term threat. You're already starting to see wicked subversion within younger generations, as well as weaseling into positions of power. The Antifa-tier bullshit won't get better anytime soon.
