Out of all the presidents, we've had in American politics. What is your favorite?

>mine is pic related

 No.68770

I guess either Coolidge or Taft.

Haven't made my mind up yet, but at this point, I think it would be easiest for me to just use the process of elimination and see who's left after I crossed out every president who participated in a total war, fixed prices, messed with the gold standard, was in bed with the unions…

Can you tell me what's the matter with Coolidge and Taft? Barely heard of them as you'd expect from a president who does his job, leans back, and lets society and the economy run its course.

It's probably the stereotypical /liberty/ answer, but I like Jackson. I don't know what his deal was with the Indians, but I like his outright hatred for all things centralized.

>I don't know what his deal was with the Indians

Oh I don't know, maybe people were sick of "WAWAWAWAWAWAWA!" and tomahawk chucking, scalp collecting, villages being burned down at night, women and children raped?

Got the US out of the Korean war, kept us out of a potential cluster fuck with Israel, fought the state level use of segregation which was a huge assault on individual rights, at least had the decency to use tax money towards peacetime projects instead of bombing the Middle East with it, and called out the Military-Industrial complex that runs the two-party plutocracy we have now.

Cleveland

 No.68834

>>68780

He was the first president who tried to turn America from a republic to a democracy, or so I heard. But that

>>68786

Not sure how callous Jackson was. The Natives were savages, yes, but I oppose willfully harming innocent children on principle. The men, not that great a loss, and the women supported them.

 No.68860

>>68827

I used to be more positive towards him. Though the use of federal power to counter corrupt state power concerns me. Granted I disagree with segragation and Jim Crow but the government has grown more in power and it worries me.

 No.68873

None, they're all spooks

 No.68875

>>68873

That's why the right answer is William Henry Harrison.

 No.68881

I'm a fan of Hoover. Very pro-liberty and a master administrator, even if not suited personality-wise for the office of the presidency. He was also dealt a bad hand and misrepresented as not caring for the people suffering during the great depression.

He made good vacuum cleaners as well.

please don't say that my grandfather will spin in his grave.

and just like the vacuum cleaner of the same name he really sucked.

 No.75381

I dunno, I really liked the elder Roosevelt, Eisenhower too. hell even Jackson. JFK maybe. Nixon too, however, this is just my opinion but we haven't had any one good since Tricky Dick. Trump wishes he was as good as Nixon.
