Pretty sure you can thank the Czechs for that. The Czechs had their own national socialist party and the DAP (later NSDAP) copypasted pretty much everything from them, except perhaps their antisemitism. The persecution of the Jews is really not as original as commonly thought. They were a rich minority in a country whose inhabitants were bend on redistributing property. They also refused to assimilate, and that's the worst you can do when your government wants to make society more egalitarian. Herdist societies go out looking for victims and they always find them, whether they are kulaks, homosexuals, Jews, Armenians, ethnic Chinese, ethnic Vietnamese, foreigners generally, blacks, WASP's, Jehovah's Witnesses.
