OP here - some thoughts

Only those on the border would control immigration - assuming borders existed in the world. Of course, while these immigrants could enter the border towns/cities if allowed, they could only penetrate the interior if other cities,towns,communities would let them in.

If libertarianism with some minimal state control was introduced into America or European states tomorrow, what would it look like? Imho, any policies would really depend on how pro immigration or not that small govt was. A libertarian government wouldn't necessarily increase or decrease immigration. It would depend totally on the personality of the libertarian government.

The same way you deal with any invasion of private property. As thing are, property is never entirely private, it's never properly protected and always a subject to seizure by bureaucrats, no kind of policy will make sense. You can't find a coherent solution for an incoherent system.

Suppose you lived in the middle of the country in a community that wanted more immigrants to work their farms. In order for those workers to get there, you would need to move them from the border town, and then through several other communities before you reached home. If one of the communities along the way refused you passage (either through road or airspace) because they didn't like your immigrants, would that be a violation of the nap, or would you be forced to take a circuitous route around them until you found communites that would let you use their roads/airspace? Theoretically it could add weeks to your journey if you were transporting them by vehicle, making it infeasible and hurting the profitability of your farms.

If the border towns prohibited you obtaining immigrants from outside the border, forcing you to hire within the country, would that be a violation of the nap? By not having immigrant workers it would reduce the profitability of your community as well.

Typically a town can't own both the roads and the airspace in most situations because it wouldn't be profitable and the town would have no way to enforce the airspace ownership. More likely than not those would be owned by a private company or federation that would have standards across the industry such as IPC J-standards or OSI/tcp protocol.

But yes, for the sake of argument, if the starts aligned perfectly for that split second while Moluk sacrificed his twentieth child to the star demon, then yes, your random-ass situation would be possible. Probably unlikely if not near impossible though.

More importantly OP, the border of what? Of a mountain? Of a river? Of a big-ass fence? AnCapistan is not one big country with made-up borders.

How would you define where one cultural or racial group ended and another began? Just keep the borders of nations where they are, then just segregate the different races within the nation to portions of the state and create new borders along those? Would there be a black United States and a White united states? Would there be a Crillo, Cholo, Mestizo and Mulato Latin America? What about nations where the racial lines are thoroughly blurred, like Brazil? How the fuck would you define that mess along racial lines without creating a powderkeg like in the balkans?

Borders define themselves. Even in South America there is de facto segregation. The richer suburbs are whiter, gated and patrolled by private security firms. The poorer suburbs are darker, but they exclude outsiders with violence and turf wars. It's like that the world over.

If AnCap kicked in overnight, there would be no federal enforcement of borders. Immigrants would flood in until, I imagine, they reached communities who forcibly stopped them.

That's not immigrating; that's trespassing. There's quite a difference between moving into a general region near people and moving into property that those people own. In the former case, you don't need their permission. In the latter case, you do.
