Idealism vs pragmatism is a false dichotomy. There's a third way: Keeping your high principles and ambitions, but being aware of the difficulties of practically implementing them. If your adherence to the NAP and human dignity keeps you from establishing an anarchocapitalist world order, that's still a lot better than killing this world order the very moment you fight for it. Only in a spiritually dead world could people think otherwise.
