Hello /k/omrades. I stumbled across this M81 Woodland Vietnam War style Jungle fatigues jacket.

Can anyone tell me if it was a Real thing or it's just a fake?

This is why Germany should have won.

But now that the bullying's out of the way, it looks real enough to me.

Anyway, I can't for the fucking life of me place this camo. The cut makes it look genuine but it doesn't match any copy of M81 I can find or can remember. I assumed it was something from eastern Europe, but most countries there used more faithful copies.

Maybe it's just a shitty commercial pattern? What do the tags say?

>all these newfags

The US Woodland/ERDL pattern was in use during the Vietnam War by both the Marine Corps and the Air Force. It just wasn't adopted by the Army (who used olive drab uniforms in Vietnam) and called M81 until later, and was quickly replaced. However, OP, BDU uniforms weren't designed until 1981, and they replaced the similar but older sateen fabric fatigues, so you are still a faggot.

It wasn't, M81 is derivate of ERDL. M81 is more or less a bigger version of ERDL with different colors.

Your post didn't actually disagree with anything my post said. Are you okay?

US Woodland and ERDL are not the same thing.

What? Nowhere in your post you said that M81 is a derivative of ERDL, you equate them at first, which is something I disagree with. Unless by saying:

>It just wasn't adopted by the Army (who used olive drab uniforms in Vietnam) and called M81 until later, and was quickly replaced.

You mean that brown dominant ERDL got later called M81 and the new colors and enlarged pattern replaced the older one.
