You can own both rifles and handguns, though only semi auto ofk, but you cannot carry handgun on you and rifle only when hunting or something. Self defense laws are good on paper(dunno how are enforced, supposed to be good), including defending your home with the handgun you store in there. No gun safes or separate storage of ammo and background checks are present afaik, though i know for sure you cannot get more that 1kg of powder in 1 go. Also, it seems you can only get ammo for the guns you own, though i might confuse it with something else. Generally there's not much info on their gun laws in other languages, if you know the details please post them here, i'm also interested in getting there in the future.
Cons of Georgia are language that you have to learn, though plenty of people speak Russian(though don't like it very much, for obvious reasons), younger generations speak English and it's either adopted or will be adopted as 2nd official language instead of Russian in the nearest time; traditions - they have plenty of things they view differently and might even get you in trouble if you aren't careful and lead to problems for people like us(given that you're here you're not that good at building social connections, i assume) because more things are done on interpersonal level, the wages are pretty low though, so you better get prepared beforehand and then live a quiet life in there and not rush in unless you're going to open business which, as i said earlier, can be set up in like 1 day. Other than that, i'd count as a minor problem the close location of Russian borders, though it's all pretty calm now, aside from isolated Abkhaziathough you can get guns quite easily in there as with all external conflicts concerning Russia.

We might have something like that, but for most people who are involved in it it's just collecting milsurp and gas guns and sometimes going to a range to shoot the guns that are owned by the company that's running the range. And there is airshit if you want to count that for some reason. Ammo is ridiculously expensive, a single 9mm Parabellum is 100 HUF (1/3 of an Euro) at the cheapest range. And you have to fight the bureaucracy if you actually want to own a working gun. Of course you can only use it on the range. The only positive development is that reloading ammunition was legalized again a few years ago (if you go through a short class that teaches you the basics).

I seriously doubt the Czechs will give in, the EU will just allow them to continually delay the implementation of the directive until they have sufficient leverage to force the issue. It's what they did with Sweden and the Euro Sweden officially still has to adopt it. However I do agree that any nation that is an EU member is forever at risk of further political bullshit.

Even Serbia, despite it's high level of ownership, has some utterly shit laws. Most of those guns are either reservist-issue or grandfathered in.
If you're going to be armed in the Balkans you're probably going to be armed illegally. On the up side, a Yugo AK is going to run you 100-200 euro and an absolutely goat-piss tier Albanian mistake will run you like 50 EU.
SKSs cost about 200 legally and about the same illegally and pistols are a bit harder to come by. That said, if you're really determined, a Zolja(essentially a Yugo LAWS) will set you back like 400 EU.
It's a lot easier to be armed illegally than legally here which is why so many(really, most) people do it. However, if you're not Albanian you might get into legal trouble for it.
Albanians get a free pass for a shit tonne of stuff for a number of reasons, among them are massive corruption, the Albanian mob and cops just not wanting to take the risk of confiscating weapons and arresting people in villages and neighborhoods where every other house has anti-tank weaponry.
That, and living in a Yugo country will probably kill you just by itself. If it's not the frustration and depression from literally nothing running properly, it's going to be the sheer anger from Albanians getting a free pass for everything and if it's not that it's going to be actually getting murdered.

Czech republic never adopted Euro. We still have crowns as our currency. There used to be a lot of shilling for it back in the day, with constant "we'll adopt it in two years!". Then the economical crisis came and all the poorer countries that fell for the euro meme got royally fucked while we got off relatively easy, and ever since then the whole euro thing is dead in the water with no party seriously pushing for it.
As for the weapons thing, we actually had until September to modify our gun laws like EU told us to. We didn't and instead attacked the whole thing in (((EU court))). There's been also a big push for modifying our constitution to essentially cancel any gun.grabbing laws from EU, which failed, but will probably resurge if once the EU court tells us to go fuck ourselves.
