basically, if you live in NY just buy a rifle. but make sure the rifle isnt "scary" looking.
i keep a loaded ruger 10/22 takedown in my car. and have a choice of weapons at my house.
also, if you want a cheap carry pistol, just get a makarov, or a tokarev. half the price of what you linked
