Where are your proofs? Not only does the page you link or any link on it not lead to that number, but I used the site's custom Jewgle search and no permutation of "418 million", "418000000", "418,000,000" et al returns a single result. The only things listed are things that cite page 418 in x book or the number 418 randomly appearing in a URL.

From the three briefings, the estimated total of firearms in the US would be 724,300,000, with 393,300,000 being owned by civilians, 326,500,000 by law enforcement and 4,500,000 by the military. I don't know where you're getting 418 million from.

In 2007 there were 90 million gun owners in USA, the number is more likely 120 million in 2018. I calculated this by the number of new NICS applications per year, correlated to historic growth.
America has 350 million people including 30 million illegals so that means 34% of the population are armed.
America has 235 million voters not including illegals and since all gun owners must be of voting age, that means 51% of the voters are officially 'engunned.

Those firms/FFLs + all firearms made/sold by other FFLs from 1999-2015 + all firearms made by everyone 1899-1999 + all firearms imported 1899-1999 + all firearms made or imported since October, 2015 - exports is probably over 300,000,000.
