Meanwhile in Germany:
>adopt Mercedes G-class, call it Wolf
>Wolf turns out to be extremely reliable, sturdy and cheap to maintain
>everybody likes it
>generals like it because it's cheap
>officers like it because it's reasonably fast
>maintenance likes it because it takes a lot of stupidity to break
>troops like it because it's fun to drive and can go through very bad terrain
>Wolf becomes older and older, requires only few upgrades, like new gun-holders for the G36, and new radio equipment
>some vehicles are almost 20 years old and still kicking
>it's so good that large parts of Europe adopt it
>even the fucking French do license production
>Amerifats adopt it for desert patrol
>it quickly becomes popular with civilians too
>they buy all the vehicles that are too damaged to continue serving and simply order lots of replacement parts from Mercedes Benz
>mercedes keeps improving it
Of all the vehicles I got to use, the Wolf is by far my favorite. Sadly the prices for replacement parts for civilians have increased, because Merc would rather you buy a new version instead of handing it down through five generations.
