Hey /k/, I need your help. My mauser isn't ejecting. It used to eject about a month ago, but when I decided to give a test tonight, the cartridge just sat in the bolt. I haven't even fired it yet.I think it's something to do with the ejector. Does anyone

if it stuck like this, you either need to cycle the gun like a man or replace the extractor. yours looks a little roughed up but still sound from what I can see.

How do I go about replacing the extractor or ejector? The most i've done is take off the ejector box to see if something was wrong there. Why exactly does it cause that problem in the first place?

With the ejector, it's as simple as removing that one screw. As the the extractor, it can be a borderline herculean task to get that spring to cooperate without cutting the hell out of your hand. Just try cycling the bolt with force before you do more.

Tried working the bolt harder. Still stuck on there. I'll try working with the bolt next. Don't want to have to buy any new parts so soon.

It's an old gun, if it needs new parts, that's fine. Even though my Mauser is just a bargain Turk, I still love it. Hell, I've been considering re-bluing the action. Guns shouldn't be sporterized but shouldn't have to sit in a safe either.
