f2f4b6 No.522361
John Correia is a dick…. but yeah don't use fucking bridshot, that bitchs tits probably stopped it.
Worst case scenario
>long range
>through leaves/brush (deflects low momentum rounds)
>fat or muscular person
>a few layers of winter-protective clothing equivalent to 11 layers of DENIM
>glancing shot
>car door
>windshield (shooting from within or from outside)
Keep that in mind when selecting defense calibers.

Highest momentum bullet I can carry. You in the bush, carry a rifle with a large, slow bullet. Can't? Strap a .50 Alaskan to your thigh. Urban situation? That's why .45acp is popular, not some stopping power nonsense. A high speed low mass bullet is fine when you're not expecting one (or a combination) of those scenarios, most governments don't give a shit because their small arms are used for suppression anyway, when a cop isn't blowing someones brains out.

The simple fact that equation occurs to people tells me those people deserve to die. I give more stock to people that view .32ACP as a serious defensive cartridge because at least it was designed as such.

It's fine if you just except to be shooting people in good conditions. It tends to tumble at longer ranges, and cant be used in a forest. And it needs to be full auto or else it's pretty fucking useless.
>>522470
7.62 tokarevs saving grace is steel jacketing which keeps it together even passing through kevlar, and steel casing which allows it to use higher pressures.
Without that it's shit.
I still can't figure out why .22 is not jacketed and has a brass casing. That's way more expensive and way less effective.

He's obviously one of the 'velocity uber alles' faggots, you know, the kind that in the 70's shot out Model 19's in a tenth of their service life running super hot 85gr .357mag loads, and would unironically pick a .22 Rem Jet over an Elmer Keith .357.
>>522475
>I still can't figure out why .22 is not jacketed
Plenty of .22 IS jacketed you mongoloid. The cost difference between steel case and brass case for a .22lr is quite literally eaten up by the extra wear and tear on the machines. Ask Wolf, they had an arsenal do a bunch for them back in the early 2000's, no one renewed the contract.

I know there are steel cased ones, but is there's a steel jacketed .22lr? If so I'd like to find some, it's definitely cheaper and you get a better result.
Anyway if your issue is wear, either buy better guns or get a bimetal jacketed bullet (steel overlaid with copper).

The funny thing is, since .45ACP is such a lower pressure cartridge than .223 you'd probably have far less wear on the barrel in comparison.
The hilarious thing is that brass .45 is cheaper than steel case at the moment.

there are 9mm rounds that do that, specifically made for AP. but i get your point.

10mm for example has more energy than .223 out of a 10 inch barrel.
Less wear on barrels. Goes through foliage better, is less affected by wind, and it expands a lot better in target. You could bring down anything from a groundhog to a deer with it.
>>522774
They're coming out with .25 ACP that aren't crap now. Out of a 2 inch barrel they have 11 inches penetration of ballistics gel, and expansion to 9+mm.
