I'm making a variant of riichi mahjong to play with friends and that doesn't involve remembering all the yakus, their names and the fus.
i'm afraid it could come out broken so i'm gonna explain the changes from the classic game.
The only yaku is made from 4 triads and a pair.
a trip of dragons/your wind/dominant wind is worth a point
Dora(briscola) is worth a point
There is always an ura-dora when someone wins (briscola nera)
there is a bonus dora(briscola disposto) when someone goes riichi(disposto)
Kan(quadris)is the same
The game ends in a draw if the east wind discards the 18th tile in his discard pile(not counting chis and pons)
If someone makes 0 points with an hand he puts one point on the table for the next winner(they don't count as the value of the hand so if someone makes another 0 points he put another 1 on the table)
everything is round up so if someone make a tsumo for 1 point everyone pays 1 except the dealer that pays 2.
I'm testing it and i plan to make a screenplay which would be a shameless rip-off from Fukumoto's work but i'm kind of proud of it. i think it got somehow different
i might've forgot something as seen that i haven't yet made a full written ruleset.
Also i probably should've posted this on /jp
