Ever heard of a catalytic cracker?
It's a unit that breaks down petrol to it's smaller components. So, you get methane, ethane, propane, etc.
The unit uses heat to break the petrol down.
Sometimes these units can reach 300C or more.
Not to mention, there's very dangerous chemicals present there. Stuff like sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, benzene. Which are used to create plastics and other sorts of industrial chemicals.
So, if I was a operator and I was working on a old unit and something goes wrong. I could expose myself and thousands of people to really toxic chemicals or blow up my co-workers.
If I am an instrument technician I have to work up close and personal with those cat crackers and monitor their output via junction boxes.
Not only that.
Chemical plants work on a good ole boy standard and hire relatives over more certified people.Granted, some of those people are nice. But it seems a large majority of them are dumber than a box of rocks and largely alcoholics with women problems.
Those guys tend to be major trouble. They want higher in the workplace, so they brown nose their way up a ladder and try to stab others in the back just to get there.
7c355f No.72895
>>72894
Well that is pretty gruesome.
I actually don't have any objection to nepotism in concept, but people hired that way should really be kept to some kind of honorary position doing busy work, it's a problem to everybody when a work slot for a real job is taken up by "the boss' son", or something like that. At best, they impact production negatively, but depending on the job they could be a very major issue.
