Curious. If you were an employer, and one of your employees was always telling on another to you over things that were minor enough or fixed quickly enough that you would never have even found out otherwise, how would you feel about this?
I should mention that I'm neither the person telling, nor being told on, so I have no personal investment in the response, it's just something I see consistently, and I'm not sure if it's "wrong" or not.
0b13b1 No.66482
>>66481
Thing is to remember, that some employees are tattle tales and will look for even the most minor of things to gossip about.
It could be more dangerous and you could have someone actively trying to make you look bad in an attempt to damage your reputation.
The key thing about work is not to let emotions get involved make sure you've got your back.
Otherwise, said gossiper is going to damage your reputation and possibly get you demoted or even fired.
In short, yes, it is wrong. But don't let those people stab you in the back by opening up to them.
0b13b1 No.66483
>>66481
Although, I should add there's a caveat.
If said employer is putting other employee lives at risk. Then absolutely, it good to tell someone about it.
Although, in my experience, people in retail are rarely interested in such things.
659dc5 No.66484
>>66483
I guess that's a good take. Like I said, this isn't affecting me as far as I know at this point, but I do feel bad for the tattle-ee. He's a fifty-some year old guy that's constantly got pain and health problems, so if he's fixing his own things, I don't see why you wouldn't just let it go. I understand if it were a major behaviour that needs to be nipped in the bud, but that's not what I'm talking about. And the tattler isn't saying a word to him, he just stays quiet about it and then runs to the boss at the earliest opportunity.
The reason I asked from the employer's perspective, is I could see if he was just trying to ingratiate himself to the boss by making the other guys look worse, but I don't think I would really look warmly on a guy that acts that way.
0b13b1 No.66485
>>66484
>He's a fifty-some year old guy that's constantly got pain and health problems
God, I hate those types of people.
They just wallow in their own self misery before finally kicking the bucket.
The thing to know about men tattling is, there's usually a motive behind it. It's not like women, where they gossip about daily life to socialize. That guy is, from the looks of it is trying to get someone's job and he's willing to push down anyone to get there. Which happens quite a bit.
The best thing you can do to guard yourself against that kind of person, is to record your activities and keep any and all interactions with that man to a minimum. Otherwise, if you give him and inch, he'll take the mile.
659dc5 No.66486

How many months do you think until that happens here?

Well, we'll have to make it a good week before we all disappear forever, then.

Ah, I haven't played DoWII at all, and I always thought you were a very reserved person with only the threads being a way to contact you!

The campaign is good, and there's a pretty fun hero based co-op wave defense mode.
I haven't played a lot of the normal skirmish mode, but I never do.
I don't know where you could have gotten that idea from!

The internet went out that one time and I felt the existential dread of having no life steadily creep over me.
when 8chan was down. That was probably worse.

I need to go to 7/11. Every month, my building shuts our water down, and it always always always seems to happen on my day off. Thirsty.
>>66715
How long was your internet out? I get pretty pathetic, even if I'm playing games or something, every hour or so I'll think I need to go look this up, and remember and get disappointed.
0b13b1 No.66717

I've been without internet for months at a time.
But, I'm usually occupied.
I guess for about a few days. But that's because nothing has occupied my time.
Have fun at 7/11.

Very long time!
So are you just going to drop off completely once school starts, then?
>>66719
No, it's an RTS. There's a ton of WH40K games though, so it's easy to get confused.
I've posted it a few times, but I try to keep my anonymous imageboard network removed from my larger internet network separated, I even picked a name I've never used before anywhere else, so I typically try to stick to adding people that post theirs, or adding people through people I already have.
7f9b10 No.66723
>>66722
Oh, because you said Co-Op I thought about that where you control a single space marine through a campaign.
Ah, I do the same with adding people, so they can be amazed at my creeping skills.

Nah, it's this kind of thing.

I tried to find something sub-five minutes, but everyone wants to record the whole round I guess, so just click around and you'll get the gist very quickly.
But then what's supposed to happen when there's two people like that? Who does what?
7f9b10 No.66725
>>66724
Oh, I was thinking the Co-Op was kind of an different type of thing like vs. AI normal rounds.
A Mexican standoff.
659dc5 No.66726
>>66725
There's that, too.
There's also a weird way to co-op the campaign where you each control half the heroes with pooled resources, and whoever builds a unit controls that unit.
I'm not good at standoffs; I'll just do it, I'm pretty sure I know which is you.
7f9b10 No.66727
>>66726
Ah, I've just played CoH2 with friends as Vs. AI pretty many times for Co-Op means, even though there is an Co-Op campaign.
Well, it was correct.
And I recall stalking your profile a few times before already, but I wasn't sure if you were okay with it.
659dc5 No.66728
>>66727
I've never played that, but I've done a lot of Human Team VS AI on Rise of Nations with friends. I really just have a lot more fun playing co-op with people in general.
Fox told me yours ages ago, same basic deal. I didn't creep you though because you're one of those weirdos with privacy settings.
What odd situations people find themselves in!
7f9b10 No.66729

Ah, I think I used to play Rise of Nations pirated edition at school with a few friends.
Although C&C Generals was the better choice.
I assumed that.
I like my privacy.
659dc5 No.66730

As far as C&C goes, I've only ever played RA2.
I'm not very varied in my RTS experience.
At least you're not like a certain SOMEONE that has his profile hidden even from people on his list.
7f9b10 No.66731
>>66730
Ah, I've played almost all of them, minus like C&C 3 Tiberium Wars and everything after RA3.
Always mostly just played RTS and FPS games, although RTS was where I picked up when I was a lot younger, and played a few hundred hours of Company of Heroes in highschool.
I'm not really sure who you mean by that.

I guess as much as it pains me to say it, I'd be the definition of a "casual" gamer, in that I'll play basically everything, but don't put any serious time or skills investment in anything since I lose interest so quickly.
What FPS do you play other than CS?
That's a Motley thing.
>>66732
There are very few bad Lums.
7f9b10 No.66735

I didn't really either, but I just had AoE, AoE 2, AoM, GTA VC and Wolfenstein RTCW as a kid.
Well, really just CSGO, PUBG and Warframe as of currently, although CSGO is the only really-FPS-likey game out of those.
Oh and sometimes Killing Floor 2 and Tom Clancy's R6S.
659dc5 No.66736

I've played a bit of KF2 and PUBG, the latter seems like something I could get into, I haven't reinstalled it since changing rigs, though.
I just picked up Dreadnought this morning, that seems cool and I think I'm going to stick with that for a time.

659dc5 No.66740

Well that sounds fun, do you do pretty well together? I only played a handful of rounds, so I still have to get a lot of things down.
Kind of. It's a WoWS clone, but with spaceships instead of naval ships.

7f9b10 No.66742

Somewhat, although lately we've lost quite a many matches.
Solo and Duo are a lot easier than Squad because everyone's an idiot.
Never played WoWS, just too much of WoT when it was "hip."
Also WT is getting boats soon(?)
659dc5 No.66743
>>66742
I can't imagine there would be any disadvantages to having more people other than maybe it would be easier for people to find out where you are. What's the primary difference?
It's the only one of the three I've played, since Tanks and planes don't get me going in the same way ships do. I hear Tanks is the best, but…
>>66741
I feel like I'm the only one that's not taking off to school right away!
7f9b10 No.66744
>>66743
Well, it's harder to kill multiple people, and they're usually more well-organized than say 2 random friends who just picked up the game really.
Ah, I've played WoT since it's closed beta stage and planes I tried once, which was horrible and WT did it better.
659dc5 No.66745
>>66744
Oh, this is important. If you deploy in squads, does it MM you with other squads as well? If so i get the issue.
7f9b10 No.66746
>>66745
Yes, yes it does.
Squads are usually pretty hardcore, but solo and duo are easy to win since most people just watched a few videos from Youtube and got hyped and bought the game and don't possess common sense in firefights.
659dc5 No.66747
>>66746
That makes sense then. The reason I couldn't guess why it would be a liability is I assumed squads, duos and solos all queued into the same games.
7f9b10 No.66748
>>66747
Oh, no, but you can play Squad alone and be teamed up with randoms, and just hope they have a microphone.
Although we usually just play 3-man squad against 4-man squads because sometimes the randoms are horrible and tend to get mad if you take something good off the ground.
659dc5 No.66749
>>66748
>they have a microphone.
Always a pain when people don't in team-based games like that. I'm not going to bother checking what a super-cheap one costs, but it can't be much more than $20, so I can't imagine why you wouldn't, unless you think you have a really gay voice that you're concerned about or something.
7f9b10 No.66750
>>66749
I think cheapest ones go for 10$, plus you can get a blue microphones ice snowball which is pretty hi-quality for 50$.
We actually had a person like that earlier in PUBG.
I thought it was cute.

Ah, I had 3 pairs of those from like 2010 to 2017
I've only got Steelseries rival 300 CSGO Fade edition as the only special edition thing that I own.
