you see, there's three parts to an A press. when A is pressed, held and released. in most cases, the press is the important, because that's what makes Mario jump. however, in some cases, it is sufficient just to hold A, since it lets Mario twirl with the wing cap, swim or do little kicks.
To get Watch for Rolling Rocks, it is sufficient to just leech off of an earlier A press, like the one we do to enter the level. In a single star run, we'd round it up, but in a whole game run, we'd round it down. To capture this phenomenon, we call it a Half a Press.

I have an interesting story about an encounter with a snake.
There was snakes living in my backyard and my parents decided to get chickens. So, I started shooing away the snakes. But they were persistent little buggers. So, I started trying to catch them with my hands.
All was fine and dandy until a snake bit me and went for a helicopter ride into the water.
I'm 100% sure the snake was fine though.

I always wondered why they used CDs and DVDs for gaming. I actually thought it would be very efficient to use a cartridge. And here I am, my dreams realized…Have you bought anything digitally?
What's the difference in load times?
7eeb0c No.38099
>>38098
A blu ray disc costs much less than a dollar to produce, and can hold upwards of 50 GB.
The downside to them is that they are very fragile and are very slow to read.
Carts are more expensive to produce for their size, but have much faster read times.
I've bought blaster master digitally, which loads very fast.
The BoTW comparisons I've seen seem to be Internal Memory > Cart >(?) Micro SD card > WiiU disc
7eeb0c No.38100

If you were mainly talking about Disc vs. Cartridge load times, I've seen Zelda load ~10sec on cart vs ~30sec on disc
7eeb0c No.38101

>That explains a lot actually.
It takes my vita roughly 10 seconds to download a game from the cart.
Digital games usually take about 10 minutes to load…
So, if the cart is more expensive…Then why are vita games 20 dollars cheaper than ps4 games?
7eeb0c No.38103
>>38101
Because nobody in their right mind would pay 60$ for a vita game.
It's the same reason that 3ds games were 20 dollars cheaper than WiiU games.
