So, there's a billion and one tutorials about 3D animation and how to make your 3D model look decent while functioning and walking, etc. Basically, you have to be somewhat familiar with the X,Y and, Z graphics. After that, the model process is quite tedious but far from difficult. Rigging the models is not as bad I thought. Basically, if you're using Maya you can make a decent low-poly object with roughly 20 mins of work. As for static animations, it's not terribly difficult to calculate for. The weight shift and the movement of the hips can be done in about 5 mins.
a good walking cycle can be done 30 minutes if you're an expert at 3D animations. I found that the walk cycle is probably one of the more time-consuming parts in 3D animations and a lot of indie devs don't put in a lot of effort into their 3D character so it looks like this.

The switch is nice so far. I've been fooling around with all the stuff you can do with it, and it all works decently well.
It feels really solid, at least to me. Hefty in the hands. The removable controller buttons are just a tad small for my taste, but I got used to it pretty quick.
I've been mainly using it hooked up to the TV, so I'll have to see how well it works as a handheld in the coming week or two.

The underlying tragedy here is that someone's life was bad enough that they'd risk eternal nothingness or perdition if it means everything'll stop. Hopefully less people will experience being kicked down so low as we move into the future (optimistically).
