Categorically wrong.
The posh British accent as known today was created after the American revolution by a bunch of nobles that were trying to dignify and separate themselves from the commoners of the era. Essentially due to mass production starting to become a thing better clothing was becoming a lot more accessible to the layman, and the nobles couldn't just outdress them as much as they used to.
British English was literally manufactured while American English just changed over time naturally according to the different locations and cultures that influenced it.

And by the time people did start trying to standardize it English had already spread the globe and there was no real central body of command. A lot of what is considered standard American is different from Standard British because one didn't like the rules that the other was placing and there was no boss to stop people from making it different.

Wouldn't either an acid or base solution always be at the same pH based on its formula, but would be more reactive based on the moarity? Like low molar sulfuric acid. I need to 2 moles of NaOH for every one mole of Fluorescein. Thus, if I have excess sodium ions then they can move around more readily than say 8pH NaOH solution. My reaction also produces water and thus the sodium ions will get binded with water molecules and it will be difficult for it to fully react with my fluorescein molecules. Well I know for a fact that it is not seismic because all that matters with seismic studies in Geology is the waves that they measure. I assume you would use one of those vibrator thingies that we have in our lab or a sonicator, but both of those things are not something anyone should expect a layman to inherently understand, so 'stirring' gets the point across effectively without being all that far off from what you will be actually doing.
'mechanical excitation' can actually be much more broad because if you don't know the chemistry definition for the phrase, it could include any of the methods we discussed.
Also, just because something tends to happen does not mean that it is ok nor something which the community should avoid making a concerted effort in fixing.
Being able to explain what you are doing to the average person at a level they would understand should be a skill that everyone in a technical profession should have, but many don't.

You know how inductors and capacitors are modelled by differential equations?
Well, turns out that you can take the Laplace of them and all the other circuit elements, and create what's called the "Laplace equivalent circuit". Then, you can apply standard DC analysis techniques to it, find what you want in the Laplace domain, and take inverse Laplace to get what you want
There's also a much easier version of this in cases where you're sending only a constant frequency through the circuit

It's really this, Laplace, and rearranging equations to look a certain way. Another big part is being given a circuit without a source, just a Vin and Vout port, and we have to write a function for Vout/Vin, describing what the circuit will do to signals of varying frequencies. And the plotting the function, as a visual demonstration with that (bode plots)
Also, resonant frequencies of circuits (used for stuff like tuning radios, as you turn the tuning dial, you adjust the value of a capacitor that adjusts the resonant frequency of the circuit, and that resonant frequency is the frequency of the radio station you're listening to)
Well, at least that's how old-school analog turners worked. That is no more, thanks to the wonder of ICs.
Also, transistors are diodes are technically not linear, but exponential. But they're modelled in ways that allow them to be analysed without having to deal with an exponential function, you just need to find the right parameters for the model.
Ah, we were also taught down to design a very simple ac-to-dc power supply, but never tested on it. Kinda want to design and build my own now

Basically, they're thing that you use to implement logic into a circuit.
The basic example use of an AND gate is that you need to have 2 buttons pressed to make a light come on.
Or would require either button to be pressed to make the light come on.
