Marching on snow, walking on ice
We can't tell the road from the river
The horses are injured but we cannot leave them
What is this place? It's all enemy country
As long as we are brave
We are helpless for two japanese cigarettes
We eat dried fish that cannot be cooked.
It's not long before we're having half cooked food each day
It is too cold, we need to make a fire
We expected the tree to smoke easily
Smugly says
That sour thing is a plum
The clothes we wear are our beds
We cover our coats with pillows
The snow melts from the warmth of our backs
Our 黍殻 (i dont know what it is in english but google says "Fertile shell" bedding gets wet
We dream in our bivouacs that cant tie
The moon coldly looks at us
We came here offering our lives
Even prepared for death we shout
If we want to wish for the fortunes of war we must die in battle
With donated clothes to have mercy on soldiers, we are stuck with our duty
Slowly it fastens around our neck
Anyhow the intention wasn't to send us back alive
you are a shitty person

So, the Soviet Union just acquired nuclear arms and was defecating everywhere. The PLA just won the Chinese Civil War and the Korean war was a moderate success until Mao got Jewed by Kim Il Sung and cut ties. Communist China was looking at the Soviet Union as an ally. Mao shows up, Stalin refuses to see him for two weeks and diplomatic ties straining. Fast forward a bit, Mao and Stalin have a spat, but Stalin dies, Kursnev told Mao to fuck off. The US was bogged down in the Vietnam War and was about to declare war on Cambodia and Laos to destroy the arms traffic flow on the Kmer Rouge and the Vietcong. Le Evil Man rubs his hands and tells Nixon that China is diplomatically alone and the arms flowing into Vietnam are Chinese and something something about Chinese soldiers training Vietcong. Nixon sends Le Evil Man to China and tries to convince China that the Soviets were no longer their friends and that he'd lift 70 grillion sanctions off of them. Mao, concerned about the Politburo and the peasants would kill him seized the opportunity and allied with America as a fuck you to the Soviet Union and finally have sanctions lifted on his country. Looking at character design I like a lot of the Azur Lane ones more, but you have to admit that they don't try and stick to any theme or real reference to the actual ships (in my opinion). Not saying that Kancolle is anymore referential, but it's quite easy to feel the general theme.
As for gameplay Azur Lane (for what I've played) seems more interactive with the player, and I'm forced to engage just so much more than I do with other phone games like Girls FrontLine and Fate G/O. I've never played Kancolle though, so me saying that it looks boring based on video alone doesn't really hold water when trying to make a fair comparison to both games.
Fate G/O looks boring, and yet I'm much more dedicated to that than I will ever be to either Girls Frontline or Azur Lane, I enjoy it.
Any opinion I actually try and put out about one being above the other will just as easily be dismissed as I have asserted it.
▶ 37c9e5 (48) No.161304>>161307

I do think that AL tends to stick loosely to a theme when ships are in the same class, but that is usually a result of them being by the same artist. I think the sister ships are a good example, but there are some groups of battleships that are in that wheelhouse also.

And isn't that last part how the race/sex arguments go when you are talking to someone who disagrees with you, also?

She summed up pretty every argument on the internet because as you said, "I am right and you are wrong."

I was literally browsing the entire selection of AL ships, and the only "national identity" was that the Japanese ships are catgirls/demongirls sometimes and German ships are more militaristic.
You have no visual clarity between what is a destroyer to a Cruiser to a battleship based on the images. Yeah Carriers are a bit easier to pick out, but even that isn't always the case. Saratoga and San Diego looks like a DD when looking at their character images, but Brooklyn looked more like a Heavy Cruiser or even Fast Battleship when that wasn't anywhere near the case. This is me trying to be fair and only comparing American Ships to American Ships. In Kancolle I can show you any character and you could almost instantly printout what type of ship there were without prior knowledge and you would be more right than wrong.
That is what I'm referring to.

You're right I'm wrong.
Plus most of my racial arguments are mostly about culture.

I will say that I do enjoy the fact that Indianapolis is literally sitting on an Atomic Bomb.
But then they go and make her a borderline loli with heterochromic eyes and weird horn things which aren't present anywhere else on the American Ships. So oddly enough if I didn't see the nuke or the name I couldn't actually be blamed for thinking that she's actually a Japanese ship since the entire gimmick when Japanese is that there are lots of weird looking demon and loli characters.
