No, it's just that theirs sucked.

Many manufacturers produce very similar (but superior) cars and they sell VERY well here.

>>139217

Basically any of the Japanese brands (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki) 250-300ccs are good for a beginner.

I have the most experience with Hondas, and they've never really been bad to me.

Ninja 250 are the generic starter bike. I don't like the sport seating position, I'm more of a standard fan.

Before you buy you should go into a local stealership and sit on some to get a good feel.

Won't lie it doesn't look comfortable for a long period of time. Seems like you'll be hurting your lower back quite a bit with such a position.

As if I want to deal with those vultures just to sit on a bike.

No I'm just being facetious. Though one could assume if such a thing is useless then it is also bad.

They're not comfortable at all, which is why I like the standard, more upright seating position bikes. I also don't like the clip-on handlebars.

Bike dealerships are actually an awful lot more chill than car dealerships.

Your spine really isn't meant to be like that for long periods of time. An upright position is better for it. Clip-on handlebars?

Really? I wonder why that is.

Exactly.

Usually sportbikes have handlebars that "clip on" to the front forks (like pic). They let you tuck in and keep closer to the bike during high-speed turns, and generally allow you to lean forward more as well.

Non-sports will usually have standard handlebars, similar to regular bicycles.

Dunno. They've all been really nice and helpful in my experience, and don't try to jam stuff down your throat.

That makes sense, it is for competitive use after all. Not exactly a thing for regular day use.

They don't care. Every medium needs to have a trigger warning or be offensive content free so the poor little SJWs don't get their feefees hurt.

Personally not a fan of GS, because it lures you in with promises of rape and then becomes more about GS' band of JRPG characters. Also the overuse of CG in ep 1 was pretty bad, but of course that's not what people are complaining about. I am glad to see it pissed a bunch of people off.

As an American I thoroughly enjoy that any attempt to find resources on the subject only has sources that lead back to Chinese sources that over dramatize everything.

Meanwhile the Japanese sources all say something along the lines of "The taking of Nanking was necessary, here's a picture of soldiers feeding soup to old ladies."

It's basically worthless to try and pick a side.

The American correspondent F. Tillman Durdin reported in the New York Times that he had witnessed on December 15 a lot of bodies of dead Chinese soldiers forming a small mound six feet high at the Nanking Yijiang gate in the north.

>The bodies were Chinese soldiers who tried to escape…. I think that the mound of bodies had been formed before the Japanese military occupied there. In that area there was no combat of the Japanese military

>Durdin was in Nanking in 1937 when it fell to the Imperial Japanese Army. He left Nanking on the USS Oahu on December 15, 1937. Durdin's report was one of the first printed accounts of the Nanking Massacre. Although Durdin is often credited as being the first to inform the non-Japanese world about events in occupied Nanking, it was actually Archibald Steele of the Chicago Daily News who broke the news, bribing a crew member of the Oahu to send his story in. In what David Askew characterizes as "one of the best journalistic accounts of the fall of Nanking", Durdin reported all the major issues of the Nanking incident: the murder of civilians, the execution of Chinese soldiers, conscription, looting and rape.

>From Shanghai he also wrote: ''The conduct of the Japanese Army as a whole in Nanking was a blot on the reputation of their country.

>Their victory was marred by barbaric cruelties, by the wholesale execution of prisoners, by the looting of the city, rapes, killing of civilians and by general vandalism.

>Every able-bodied male was suspected by the Japanese of being a soldier, he wrote. Civilians of both sexes and all ages were also shot by the Japanese, and, Any person who, through excitement or fear, ran at the approach of the Japanese soldiers was in danger of being shot down.

>Small bands of Chinese men who had sought refuge in dugouts were routed out and shot or stabbed at the entrances of the bomb shelters, he wrote.

>Tank guns were sometimes turned on groups of bound soldiers.

>Looking back in the early 1990's, Mr. Durdin described how he felt when he passed a Chinese soldier who was lying on the sidewalk.

>His jaw had been shot away, Mr. Durdin said. There was nothing I could do for him. I didn't know where to take him or what to do, so I just stupidly decided to do something. I just put a $5 bill in his hand, utterly useless to him, of course, but somehow I felt the impulse to do something. He was just barely alive.

>On December 13, about 30 soldiers came to a Chinese house at #5 Hsing Lu Koo in the southeastern part of Nanking, and demanded entrance. The door was opened by the landlord, a Mohammedan named Ha. They killed him immediately with a revolver and also Mrs. Ha, who knelt before them after Ha’s death, begging them not to kill anyone else. Mrs. Ha asked them why they killed her husband and they shot her dead. Mrs. Hsia was dragged out from under a table in the guest hall where she had tried to hide with her 1-year-old baby. After being stripped and raped by one or more men, she was bayoneted in the chest, and then had a bottle thrust into her vagina. The baby was killed with a bayonet. Some soldiers then went to the next room, where Mrs. Hsia’s parents, aged 76 and 74, and her two daughters aged 16 and 14 were. They were about to rape the girls when the grandmother tried to protect them. The soldiers killed her with a revolver. The grandfather grasped the body of his wife and was killed. The two girls were then stripped, the elder being raped by 2-3 men, and the younger by 3. The older girl was stabbed afterwards and a cane was rammed in her vagina. The younger girl was bayoneted also but was spared the horrible treatment that had been meted out to her sister and mother. The soldiers then bayoneted another sister of between 7-8, who was also in the room. The last murders in the house were of Ha’s two children, aged 4 and 2 respectively. The older was bayoneted and the younger split down through the head with a sword.

>Magee heard about this crime from the 7-8 year old girl who had been bayoneted but survived and told this whole story two weeks after the crime. Magee wrote that he had recorded this story, adding some “corrections” to what the girl told him with the help of her relatives and neighbors. Magee thought that these “soldiers” had been Japanese; however, they could not be Japanese, but Chinese.

>Magee wrote that this had happened on December 13, but on December 8 every citizen had been already forced to move to the Safety Zone by the Chinese army, and was inside the Zone. The family in the story was outside the Zone, and it was most dangerous and highly unlikely that they were outside it on December 13 when the Japanese military entered the city. It is thus very likely that the crime was actually committed before December 8 or 13 by Chinese soldiers. In addition, the practice of thrusting items into females vaginas was typically Chinese. Such a practice often appears in Chinese chronicles. The Japanese never had such a custom.

>said Iris Chang

you literally cannot take her word seriously, she is an awful source and id rather trust mao zedong's word on nanjing than hers

>However, this article was not what Durdin himself witnessed, for Durdin wrote, “Foreigners who toured the city and saw that all the alleys and streets were…” Durdin thus wrote what he had heard. Who were the “foreigners”? They were Rabe, Bates, and other International Committee members; however, no one in Nanking actually saw such civilian corpses in alleys and streets. So didn’t Durdin.

>Durdin in fact wrote this article based on what he had heard from Bates, for Bates drove Durdin to the harbor on December 15 to see him off, and Durdin got on board a ship and left Nanking at 2:00 p.m. Bates later wrote in a letter of April 12, 1938, that he had given a memo about the incidents of Nanking to Durdin and other correspondents on December 15. Durdin’s article was written according to this memo that Bates handed him. Bates was a source of false information on the alleged massacre of civilians in Nanking.

>(From December 7 the Chinese army) set fire to nearly every city, town, and village on the outskirts of the city (Nanking). They burned down…entire villages…to cinders, at an estimated value of 20 to 30 million (1937) US dollars.

>who cares

Most of Asia. And the people that Japanon argues with like Smiles, Fool, and Tsuchi.

Personally, I don't care if it happened or not. It's an event that took place almost 100 years ago, during a war between two nations that were rather known for propaganda to smear each other.

Pretending that it has some relevance today is only carried out to pretend like the rivalry should still stand for reasons of nationalistic posturing.

For some reason, both nations want to still play pretend that they hate each other for something that people whom they are removed from by more than 3 generations did.

It's on par with American blacks being upset about slavery, despite it being abolished over two hundred years ago. But all they do is bitch and complain about the "ongoing legacy of slavery". Which is just a way for certain groups to push people's guilt buttons that usually results in the diversion of resources in their direction.

Americans for the longest time were taught not just in school, but through popular media, some of the most horrendous lies about slavery and racism in American history, and often for the mere purpose of causing social division.

I'm just saying that the misinformation and anger caused by it is similar.

>One month after the Japanese occupation, many Nanking citizens who had escaped the city came back to Nanking, learning that peace had returned, and the population increased to about 250,000. There is a record that the Japanese troops distributed food to that number of citizens. On January 14, 1938, about one month after the Japanese occupation, the International Committee announced that the population of Nanking had increased to about 250,000.

what are your thoughts on this

>Yeah, and some governments actively push for historical revisionism to cover up the slavery of its citizens and push for their supposed connection to the slavers for so-called "nationalistic" purposes. Finns were enslaved by Swedes and Russians, but kids are taught in school that we were never conquered by anyone and that Swedes are our brothers. Almost like "sure, Swedes raped and killed our ancestors, but we were so tough that we survived". We didn't survive and mentally we're still their slaves, we've never truly gained our independence because we still do exactly what Sweden does down to the most moronic bullshit like forming ghettos for immigrants and shitting on healthcare; our government used to pride itself in not letting ghettos like those of Sweden form and in how great and equal our healthcare system was, but now they're actively creating ghettos and reducing the healthcare budget and making it impossible for poor people to afford. We still have Swedish as a co-official language that we're forced to learn at school, when it's only spoken by about 1-5% of the population. Sweden still dictates everything we do. It's just absurd. With how much we hate Russia, we should hate Sweden twice as much since they oppressed us twice as hard and still do to this day, but for some reason the majority of Finns love Sweden and simply banter at them for being gay and shit without even knowing about the shit their ancestors did to our ancestors (and what a lot of Swedes in Finland continue to do).

>We absolutely are neither. We're Uralic. Our brothers are Estonians, Hungarians, Nenetses, Komis, Maris, Khantys, etc. but this isn't even taught in school beyond "they're our very distant relatives, we're much closer to Swedes both genetically and linguistically" which is absolute bullshit. But "nationalism" knows no bounds when it comes to lies, and paraphrasing Goebbles, if you repeat a lie enough, the people will believe it. Our entire nationalist "movement" has been based on a supposed connection to Germanics since its inception, and although there were some Turanists back in the day, now Turanism is completely discarded and whenever it comes up, it's rejected as pseudoscience and a racist anti-Finnish plot by Slavs to justify racism against us (which, according to the same people, is impossible since we're the ultimate white masterrace). It's totally absurd. I'm kind of exaggerating how widespread it is, though, because for the average person it's mostly based on ignorance rather than active distortion of facts. Still, absurd shit. "Nationalism" here is actually anti-nationalist at its core, which is why actual nationalism is shunned by literally everyone except a tiny fringe of maybe 10 people in the entire country who want connections with other Uralic peoples, Turkic peoples, Mongolic peoples, etc. This fringe is the most despised by all shades of the political spectrum and has no visibility in society at all, beyond ruthless ridicule whenever the presence of Turanism in other countries like Hungary or Turkey is mentioned in the news.

>Svecoman bullshit (first they claimed Finns were racially inferior and should be happy to be ruled by their racial betters, but when that fell through they started to claim Finns and Swedes had been always the same while working their anti-Finnish agenda out of the direct view) and the political realities requiring alignment with Germany really killed Finnish nationalism. What is left is rather pathetic and altogether pointless. Might as well move to Sweden if one wanted to be Nordic so much. But Finns can't be held to have all the blame, as the outdated racial ideas still live and light hair, eye and skin colour are universally considered essentially "white" features. This connection is reinforced by both anti-nationalists, who want to make Finns pay for the alledged crimes of all the white races even though Finns were on the receiving end of them most of the time, and nationalists who want to "elevate" themselves by associating with the ethnic aryan ideal, even though that requires concocting some fucked up myth that Indo-European "aryans" (namely Swedes) raped Finns white. That or claiming nobody but Finns are white, which works mainly as a joke.

japanese alt right

aka anyone who uses 2ch, which is a lot of people

its just a boogeyman and i see the word used more in english now than japanese

newsokur is a reddit board for left wingers who are too offended by 2ch

they have an identity crisis because they still take aspects of 2ch, they have 1 comment in the past hour and 5 threads

the average 2ch board gets 5 comments in 10 minutes for comparison

theyre a minuscule group of retards who make themselves stand out, not by numbers, unique good content or anything but just by being retarded

the only time their shitty reddit board gets attention is when they suck gaijin cock like the faggots they secretly are

<lets talk in english because we love gaijin weebs because no normal japanese person gives us attention

and then theres this shit

its a japanese reddit board that got popular for a week thanks to the hiroyuki drama

here are some of the comments

<reddit is superior BBS are dying in 1 year 2ch is no more

2ch has 5 million unique daily users right now, newsokur has 22,000 subscribers which i think is just everyone whos ever commented, i dont know reddit

<we are growing so fast we will overtake 2ch

<reddit is much better with voting system

after the hiroyuki drama died down so did their shitty board, so they resorted to sucking gaijin cock for attention and being left wing dqn

sorry for the rant i just dont like them
