I mean, I majored in IT and electronics in college, and I touched a mac like 2-3 times for photography lessons, and then swore to never touch that unholy thing.

Mostly because of it's dumb UI, hard-to-use quick commands.

And because no gamez

I was thinking about that.

But wouldn't learning those words and equating those words to be bad or not necessary for a conversation be the best way to learn?

Because those words do exist and erasing them from them from the AI means that the next AI will have an inability to learn.

Best way to teach an AI is to expose it to the outside world, which means it'll be influenced by everybody, and there'll always be trolls who'll do whatever they can to affect it.

An AI which has a lot of built in limitations such as what's wrong and what's right, will eventually turn the AI into nothing but a regular bot.

Also, AIs are stupid as hell, they won't take off through conventional computing. Maybe Quantum computing will change that, but so long a bit is either 0 or 1, they'll remain stupid

Considering all CPUs probably got a backdoor due to government requirements, a person could possibly discover that backdoor and create a piece of malware capable of infecting all machines using the vulnerable architecture.

And because everything is IoT now, and these systems are embedded, they might not even be updated with mitigations for these vulnerabilities, especially not if it's in hardware and not firmware.

You know Spectre, right? New vulnerabilities discovered almost daily. It's so bad that BSD just disabled Hyperthreading on Intel CPUs by default due to this crap

Fighting games are a massive timesink but also extremely rewarding.

I play a lot of 2d fighters, not much 3d. Might try the new Soul Calibur when it comes out though.

I am not shitting you, even the red side is distancing themselves from this.

This is three hours ago. He has been on about it since Tuesday or Wednesday

“When Trump visited the island territory last October, OFFICIALS told him in a briefing 16 PEOPLE had died from Maria.” The Washington Post. This was long AFTER the hurricane took place. Over many months it went to 64 PEOPLE. Then, like magic, “3000 PEOPLE KILLED.” They hired….

….GWU Research to tell them how many people had died in Puerto Rico (how would they not know this?). This method was never done with previous hurricanes because other jurisdictions know how many people were killed. FIFTY TIMES LAST ORIGINAL NUMBER - NO WAY!

The Puerto Rican government has placed much of the blame for mismanagement of resources on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). A senior FEMA official told CBS News' David Begnaud that "if [FEMA] put that water on that runway there will be hell to pay … If we did that, we're going to fess up to it."

Kinda strange how like, millions of water bottles on a runway can go unnoticed for an entire year though.

The other week I said it makes no sense for him to say one thing in public, turn around and say the opposite behind closed doors, but the administration does the thing he said in public anyway just to spite him, it ends up being for the better, and then they take the credit for it by posting an anonymous letter to the NYT saying there's a secret cabal inside the Trump administration that's holding the Republic together because he's apparently a madman and a 5 year old.

I said that it was far fetched, and only a moron would expect me to believe it, and questioned as to why it was only HIS administration this was true for, and speculated as to where this secret task force of dedicated people was that were doing their damndest to save the republic when people like Obama, the Bushes, and Clinton was in office.

I wouldn't know, you'd have to ask a republican.

Island Mexico shouldn't be full of American citizens in my honest opinion, and if they want to maintain this sudo state status while still having sovereignty, then anything that happens in their boarders is their fuck up to deal with.

Furthermore I like how the words "rights" these days is just a label people apply to things they like and want. What "rights" were violated by the government for a hurricane?

Unless we're going to dredge up Katrina when government agents went around confiscating people's property, including firearms and valuables like genuine river pirates.

Oh please do, you're not the only one running a tally though, I'm sure.

I wouldn't know, apparently you're the professional that understand what CEOs in a boardroom are like. Would it surprise me? No. Even Hillary was known for saying one thing in public to people, and then the opposite in private meetings she had with other officials.

Could Trump do the same thing? Sure. But if he is it still makes no sense why a letter would brag about him saying one thing, that thing going into effect, improving the nation, but only being in spite of him, not because of.

And my question STILL remains… where. were. these. people. before.

And even then, none of that matters since the presidency isn't the high king of the land. The actual political power it wields is fairly small. Which we've seen through most of its desired policies being held up and back by some far off court in Hawaii half the time.

I'm registered as Libertarian, it's the affiliation closest I feel to my political philosophy.

Oh joy, we get to incorporate more debt soon I see.
