Import/Export Folder

All the files and folders inside Project are linked to each other, we know we can't break it's name and structure

Visual Studio Solution, Photoshop Linked File, Webpage Complete, Premiere Project, Games etc….

But, we can import/export project folder As a package(virtual file), Then hydrus keep child folder structures and filenames of that package, But package name(project root folder) to hash, And Add tags to that package

Right click to open it with external app: Explorer, Manage them just like the other files

Import any file And more file preview & thumbnail support, Please

Recently i found this Great app Hydrus Network, I'm Planing to use this replace File Explorer,

Basiclly, I want use Hydrus to Manage my hole asset HD:

There is rmvb, psd, wav, docx, xlsx, pptx, txt, url, srt, lrc etc….

I can convert all of my rmvb files to mp4, That's also not bad, except it will take sometime

But, some files(psd, wav) i must leave it's own format

Some files(docx, xlsx, pptx) if i convert to other format, then i can't revertback, if i can, there must be have some errors

Can't import Text files(txt, url) now

I think Subtitle files(srt, lrc), there will be no problem, because they use the same name with .mp3/.mp4 files(same hash right ?), they will be import to the same directory

Anyway, I need import every file types

If hydrus can't preview/thumbnail then please just make it import as file, Then at least i can use the Tag function to manage these files

And because of that, the more preview & thumbnail support the less external open willbe needed

importing files->add tags based on file properties

For example:

jpg: authors, title, rating, tags, coments, …

mp3: genre, album, artists, rating, …

mp4: title, subtitle, rating, tags, comments, …

………

Now hydrus:

Hopefully, different tag colors and it's background colors are matched by keywords on option->colours

And checkbox weather if to show only first charator of mytag, then hover mytag popup tooltip to show the full tag name

So,

Options->View to control what rows should dispaly and it's order

Use RightClick Menu to control show/hide these row

Tags by different keyword in options->colors:

default namespaced tag:

Please make all of these line as different keywords, Not only by tag namespace

So that all of mytag colors what i mentioned above are all set to different colors.

Drag and Drop tag operation

Tags should under thumbnails , Then

Add tag: Drag and Drop tag(s) between panel and thumbnails

Copy tag: Drag and Drop tag(s) between thumbnails

Delete tag: Drag and Drop tag(s) to empty area

RightClick->Thumbnail/Panel->Copy (selected) tag

RightClick->Thumbnail/Panel->Paste tags

Control select tags under Thumbnail/Panel->

Ctrl+C Ctrl+V

Adjustable Gui Font Size And Thumbnail Size

The font and thumbnail is too small

I hope change it bigger, To protect my eyes

Please generate video Tumbnail at 50% of the timeline

Because most of the video thumbnails are black now

Please support mp3 Embed album art

(Or generate waveform to the thumbnail cache)

import page->selection panel->control key multiple select->Double Click any->open a new search page for selected

selection tags panel:

ctrl+c copy tags

ctrl+v paste tags

right click / f2 edit tag

manage file's tags window:

ctrl+c copy tags

ctrl+v paste tags

right click / f2 edit tag

input window:

ctrl + (shift) + left/right -> skip (/ select) by word

home/end -> to the first/last character

page:

ctrl+number switch between pages

I'm using delete key without confrimation

cause this fast

but then, i need ctrl+z undo delete to prevent some mistakes

And hopefully each page has it's own undo delete feature, so that i can compeletly know what files i'm undeleting

Auto refresh

option->files and trash->Remove files from view when they are sent to / undelete from trash:

please refresh both of the trash view and file search view if they are opened

option->files and trash->Remove files from view when archive / return to inbox:

Everytime i must press f5 after archive / return to inbox

And the same, if both archive and inbox search page opened, please refresh both of these page after archive / return to inbox something

option->files and trash->Remove files from view when file tag changed(No longer matchs search)

Multiple select file->externally open multiple instance:

Open multiple instance of external application and open selected files in each application

In manage file's tags window

Please do not delete tag if a tag already exists After input

Because if a file has many tag, and i want input one, I have to manually check every tag to ensure it doesn't exist, if i didn't check and input an existing tag, then i found tag deleted, then i have to input again :(

Maybe It would be better, if user input an already existing tag, just highlight that existing one

my all know files - local file = 50

but i can only use system:number of tags < 2 to find 45 files, i can't see the other 5 files

so, i need a page to show all remote file only

This is why hydrus dev needs to learn to use github- most of these things are already requested, and many informally planned.

Some of your requests are unnecessary, you just need to be familiar with all of the existing features.

Use the archive/delete filter.

I know i can use archive/delete filter

but it's not fast enough, because there is too many images i have to manage

i just want quick delete some files, if i did wrong then ctrl+z, continue delete next …. if i did wrong then ctrl+z, continue delete next ….

In this case, i don't want open trash/archive filter, and find what i deleted, and press right menu undelete

Unless, there have sort by deleted order

here's how i do this:

make a like/dislike rating called "keep"

one hand on the right arrow key

one hand on the mouse, over the "keep" button

left click to keep, right click to discard

arrow key, i don't like this pic, right click

arrow key, i don't like this pic, right click

arrow key, i like this pic, left click

arrow key, i don't like this pic, right click

etc. - and when you're done, you can open up a search for anything you set to discard, and delete it all - while also having a final chance to pick out anything you don't want to discard.

this would be 100x better with a keyboard shortcut to set the like/dislike function instead of having to click the tiny symbol - but if you hold your mouse relaxed and still you can get through shit-tons of pics this way.

You know, you can go backwards in history with the archive/delete filter; pictures are not deleted immediately, they are deleted when you stop filtering. You can easily go back and change your mind for a picture. There really is no better way

Autocomplete tag namespace in search panel and manage file's tag window

Every time i have to input * to list child tag, please auto list it

Everytime i have to open the popup window(manage file's tag), i hope there is something always open

So, The left panel is search filter, Right panel as tag edit panel is needed

Right panel is just like manage file's window

And we can use ctrl+c ctrl+v, drag and drop

certainly, we can directly edit tags under thumbnail, and hide right tag edit panel, because it's too far from current file

or, hide tags under thumbnail to save space and use right panel

Or, we can open multiple manage file's tag window

drag and drop, copy and paste tags between them

Combine all of above will be best :)

I don't know if there is better way, if there is i'm happy to use
