The first American Pie was novel if not enjoyable, if only because of the shock value and frank portrayal of the degeneracy of modern youth culture. Every sequel and copycat movie that came after it simply tried to outpozz the first one, and fell flat on its face because the first movie was a one hit "wonder".

That being said, what possible enjoyment can one derive from a narrative focused solely on a Frat House? It can't simply be porn because there's actual porn movies that deal with the subject matter, so it needs to rely on the character and story, and no man is going to care about a bunch of asshole engaging in casual sex with each other and the drama that surrounds them.

I actually liked the original trilogy and the reunion movies, they were good self-contained movies about coming of age, accepting yourself, marriage and superation. I posted the "American Pie Presents" bullshit movies because they are how I perceive this game, something that tries really hard to go around Patreon restriction and as a result sounds boring and shit.

American Pie also works because it doesn't glorify the sex. It's meant to gross you out and offend, it's meant to make you uncomfortable and laugh at the embarrassing shit the characters go through. As you said, they do mature and grow out of their degeneracy for the most part, while the copycats completely fail to understand this and pretend the disgusting hookup culture AP depicts is something to strive for. My main issue is that it's likely not going to offer anything unique. Fraternity Chad fucking Sorority Stacy is about as generic and boring as you can get in porn. Not to say a good writer couldn't put a novel spin on the idea, it's just that I seriously doubt this dev will. Maybe it's just me that fails to see the appeal of reading through a trite plot about casual sex between shallow, one-dimensional characters, while looking at dogshit renders that make the game indistinguishable from the other dozen lazy kikeron lookalikes, but really, what's the fucking point?

And it's not really just a critique of this game, but this new wave of Western porn games in general. At least Nips try to make the heroines appealing even when the plot is as barebones and simplistic as possible, and the art usually isn't horrifying to look at, if generic and forgettable, and the VA doesn't make my ears bleed.
