I lose respect immediately for any girl I hear use it. And I've asked several to explain the meaning, and the closest I can come to a real definition is "horndog who is only interested in having sex with me."

So why not just call him a douche, or a weasel, or a manwhore, or something like that? I get that "player" has a positive meaning to it for some, along with "player" "womanizer" and "ladies man" but there's just something inherently annoying about the term. Like you could have just said "fucker" but that wasn't sufficiently gendered, so you end up coming out with something that sounds totally senseless. "Don't talk to her, she's a cuntgirl." And I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you wouldn't call the guy a "fuccboi" if you want to fuck him, right? So how is it any different from nice guy, beta, friendzone, etc?
