thinkpads have a think button sometimes on the bottom of their laptops.

i detached the internal lion battery and the cmos coin cell battery for 10-15 mins and rebooted after holding the think button then put everything back together and got a windows 10 reinstall option.

still have to flash the bios with coreboot or some other update in order to get root priveleges even though the bios password
