I just got Verizon FiOS and they wanted me to pay $10/mo or $150 for their router but I had my own TP-Link WR841N router. I got that router as recommended here but got version 13 I guess which cannot run DD-WRT.

Anyway the internet has been shit and Verizon is saying it's my router. The router was working fine with an Optimum internet modem.

Does anyone know settings I might need to change in my router to get it to work better with the FiOS modem? I really don't want to shell out the money for the stupid Verizon router. Thanks for your help.

Hook your PC directly to the modem and forget the router. Do a speed test like that. Then you will really know that your router is fine and Verizon is fucking lying to you.
