Furry art worldwide still reeks of zootopia’s imagery. Every time Hollywood does something creative our whole fandom drops everything that’s made it unique and creative to glom onto what Disney’s up to. It’s pretty disappointing. I think I see what op is saying.
But I also don’t think that pro animators should be actively staying away from good ideas just because a bunch of amateurs don’t know when enough is enough. I mean look at Harry Potter fans. Ultimately if you’re known in the furry world for art or suiting it will be either for having a truly individual style or because you’re super good at ripping off Disney. Either approach works and sells.
