the only draw i can think of is anthro animals, and my like of anthro animals is precisely why i can't have anything to do with furries. it's like enjoying theatre only to find the only stage in town is being squatted by an computer scientists and mechanical engineers, alternating between orgies, weed and witch-hunts.

which to be fair might be what the theatre scene is like in the bay area, looking at the cost of housing there it wouldn't surprise me.

Furries in general are getting older and having kids, and being interested in anthro stuff doesn't have as big of a stigma amongst kids as it used to have 10 years ago. There's no buffer like sparklewolves or neopets for the kids to get caught up in any more either.

It isn't as though there's visible porn and people having sex everywhere. Unless you go into private room parties or open the black books in the dealers' den, it's not that sexual in any way that a kid would understand.
