No this was because there was a new convention and their theme was an asylum. So of course the lefties came in and started screeching and hollering because "muh mental disabilities," which is hilarious considering they are finally admitting their mental illness. And yet again it is the same group of bullies who are spearheading the whole thing: Junius and Deo and gang. And they don't live anywhere NEAR the convention so this had literally nothing to do with them other than make them look like moral paragons by trampling something they don't approve of. It fucking sucks that this one group of people continues to do this kind of shit to conventions over and over again and nobody is doing anything about it. Fury Road was the most absurd, pointless garbage I've ever had the misfortune of watching. Don't get me wrong; I appreciate the effects and stunts and shit. But they tried to put in an actual plot, tried to make you give a shit about the absurd characters, tried to make it SERIOUS, and it was fucking retarded. Lost all the campiness of the 80's where movies like that belonged. Just like the Robocop remake.

I enjoyed the movie though, for what it was. It had cool effects, and some pretty interesting props, like all the vehicles and weapons and shit. I geek out over stuff like that. I watch movies more for the universe they take place in. But you're right, the plot was just agonizing.

This wasn't so bad. It was actually kind of hilarious and satirical in concept, but the problem was when the movie refused to acknowledge this. Worse, the heroes' return after having killed Ugly McCancerface was touted as if it's going to change a fucking thing, and they were welcomed with open arms. Didn't they worship that guy like some kind of water-granting God? Shouldn't they have immediately killed the heroes...? It's like expecting an army marching into North Korea and conquering the government to fix everything, and its citizens would just accept this.
