Wanna know how to draw dragons? Search for horses on fucking google and start doodling. Put up an equine musculature chart next to your reference and understand which fucking muscle is which, how they connect, how they bend, how they swell the skin. Then do the same thing with humans. Pull up a human muscle chart and OH WOW, equines and humans and every other animal pretty much have the same fucking muscles. Doodle buff people. Search for /fit/ guys and fucking doodle. Inject yourself with the gay serum and watch bodybuilders stripping in front of a webcam and note how the fucking muscles work and shapeshift. You need to get an hard on from watching little rats crawling under the skin or you'll suck at drawing anything.
Because then, when you will have survived the initial phase and actually sit down and draw a fucking dragon, you will not delight yourself in drawing babby's first shape all over the paper and connect the dots. No, that pencil of yours will define the shape of that fucking swole arm that's crushing the castle's wall with a single blow, of that massive chest that's beating his imposing wings, slamming the knights off their steeds, of that fucking broad neck through which he's vomiting the scorching flames of hell, of those thicc thighs that will ram the dragoness waiting back at his lair when he's done butchering the puny humans who dared challenge him.

Cheekbones. Bone, not fluff, high and prominent with a strong contour. This is "classic" beauty for women, and popular even on a lot of handsome men.
Unfortunately furries have no cheekbones 99% of the fucking time. Any detailed bone structure of the head is pretty much breezed over. It's always a single convex fluff/flesh curve from the eyes down because cartoons, or a cone head because that's "realistic" for the animal it's based on.
Damn shame. You can crank cheekbones up to 11 on long faced furries and it doesn't even have the problem of laugh-lines like on humans.

You know, this book didn't even fill in for some gap that furfag artists even needed. All of the exact same information on this padded out firewood was already in NeonDragonArt's book on dragons. Neon's book wasnt padded out, covered multiple topics better and it wasnt even only covering dragons. It was a much better book even if it was still DeviantArt tier.
You can still get the book which is much bigger, for CHEAPER than this rip off shit from Tojo.
Comparing the two, it really looks like Tojo learned directly from Neon and then made a rip off of the book to scam people into giving him money for shit he took directly from Neon then claiming it's his method. I feel as if that beginning portion (with the "line of motion" is completely wrong because it leads you to imagine the spine as somehow going through the center of the body. If nothing else, it will lead to the tail being way too low. Why not start off drawing the spine, rib cage, and pelvis rather than a curvy line and some circles? You're very right about that. both tojo and neon are using the wrong terminology for "gesture" "line of motion" ect. so it really weakens the whole result when they have a bad grasp on the fundamentals of motion. The line of action will sometimes be from head to tail but most of the time it's not. Old animation lessons do a great job showing it off. Since tojo just copied from neon, and neon doesnt know how to do good gestures and line of actions too then both of their work ends up stiff and / or boring. A quick glance at their DA's show they never improved on this and their poses are as stale as when the each made the books.

i should note that the way neon and tojo use the line is more like constructing 3d forms via a path. So in that way IF you understand how they got there then it's perfectly fine to use the method. Tojo starts from the outer contour and uses it as the "line of action" and Neon uses it as a central path to fill in with volume. neither of these is the line of action, but if you understand it's use as a way to fill out 3d shapes with where the 2d line is then its fine. It's more like a centralal line on a wireframe if you were to make it in 3D, and in 3dmax building from a path to a volume is called lofting.
It's badly explained what the book actually wants you to think about, so it's really useless for a beginner but since ive already used 3d programs and done these sorts of things in 2d I get what they were trying to do.
