I did it /Fit/, I finally subscribe at my local gym. I'm probably gonna spend every last buck I own in stuff like new shorts and water bottles. There is a sport energy drink dispenser but I don't know what it worth, I've never been into that kind of drink.

In fact, I've never been much into sport until lately when I start exercised alone. I don't know shit about musculation and sport routine in general, if you have a tip for me, feel free to tell it. I will look at it.

I don't really feel like drinking the water of the sink in the toilet's gym, it was more of a figure of speech, if I have no other resort I'll buy a bottle or two.

I didn't knew lifting shoes were a thing. But so far I did not dared trying to do any deadlift, just basic exercices with barebells and some running. I don't know the proper form so I don't want to hurt and/or make a fool of myself.

OP again. For those who keeps track, so just me.

I did started lifting some sessions ago, first time was rough but satisfying as fuck. I mean the aftermath was rough, the day after my whole lower back and legs hurt so much. Although since then I think it might just been from bad form from the deadlift. At first I thought squat was the one who would put me on the ground and look at the gods of fitness for a sign of help. But no, truely is the deadlift. I don't think I have began too strong, I try to keep listening to my body's response as I push a little over the limit. Good thing is deadlift is the most funny exercise to me. I first said I won't scatter myself over new exercises but the fact is after I finished the basics I go around and have some fun.

My gym is pretty chill so that's a plus.

The only reason I'm writing that is because I've got a sunburn over the week-end and hit my first "involuntary" break since post one. Funny to see how long I go thinking about sport and still being actively doing nothing. I mean, sure I'm still trying to get my life back on track and got tons of others stuff to deal with but writing this help me realize it's time to train harder.

Anyway since I'm here anybody got advice for a good pair of lifting shoes ? I think it helped with my squats but I know nothing on this topic.

Tl;dr: OP think this thread is its fucking escape and go on to tell shitty stories, then he asks: "Anybody knows shit about lifting shoes ?"

This. I work 14-16 hour days come home do anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours of cardio or I do a bodyweight workout or lift weights. I need that energy drink shit. Only other way to stay up and do that shit is to take adderall or ritalin.

Since you seem beginner my advice is dont ever use the machines, deadlift only 5 per rep max and dont get discouraged on your first plateau push harder soon youll be stronger than 90 percent of the other fags in your gym

Before this week I would have asked why, although here I am super early in the morning, woke up by pain from trying some lower body exercices, and not having a clue on how to sit to ease it down.

Don't get me wrong, squat and deadlift absolutely crush me, but at least I can sleep 8 hours in peace after it. The only issue is that in my mainstream gym the rack is not always available to lift. And also even after the sticky I'm not sure my form is correct.

it is normal bro. I have this kind of rule. Whenever you just start (can also be from a 1 month break), you will have to feel all the sore muscle pain for each muscle one time. After that it just stops. And if it doesnt, it means youre not eating enough.

In my experience it's the second time (with a new exercise) that's the worst. If you can survive, the third time is about as painful as the first, then the fourth half as painful, then either barely or no pain from then on.

Glad to hear that. I was quite okay with being sore almost all the time since I've started but that was a new level I didn't expected so soon. It didn't even felt like I was pushing so hard during the workout. Anyway I'll start to plan my recovery days more than I used to, it would be even more painful for my will if it'd end up messing with other parts of my life.
